Sistema Thorne (1992)
Aparença
El sistema Thorne de classificació de plantes 1992 va ser creat pel botànic Robert F. Thorne (1920-). Ell mateix el va substituir l'any 2000 per un nou sistema.
Aquest sistema està disponible en línia a dos llocs. El primer al Center for the Study of Digital Libraries Texas A&M.[1] El segon a J.L. Reveal[2][3][4] Aquest sistema conté 440 famílies i 69 ordres.
Les primeres versions utilitzen el sufix floral per al superordre.[5]
